What is it like working at one of the L/S funds captured within a MF PE platform?
E.g., Bain Capital, Advent public equities teams. Just curious if this is a desirable seat for someone who likes something a bit more institutionalized than SMs. I interviewed at some of the SMs but could never get comfortable with the "you get what the PM gives you" mentality, or the "If things are good, your PM takes credit, if things are bad, it's your ass" mentality.
