What’s the longest you’ve gone without hearing after a successful interview?
Just curious — for those who received offers in previous cycles, did you ever go several hours after an interview without an update? Just trying to figure out if I’m finished for those processes
Personally found things move incredibly quickly when there was good news - they want to keep you around and make sure you aren’t interviewing elsewhere. Wouldn’t totally count things out after a few hours but would start to focus on other things if you don’t hear pretty immediately
I heard back almost immediately after each round, probably within an hour. I would assume that’s how it usually goes, but also I’ve seen some instances with friends where the firm proceeded with other candidates and then ended up coming back around when those people flopped or didn’t accept. Probably less likely, but does happen.
On cycle, I would expect to hear back very quickly - within a couple hours.
That said, I once got an offer like 2.5-3 weeks after my last interview without any feedback in between. I assume, based on nothing but timeline, that I was the #2 candidate and the first turned them down (or something came up in comp discussions or background check).
It’s not impossible, but 9 times out of 10 if you’re getting the offer you’ll get it very quickly
