Why does Thoma Bravo lack a presence in LDN?
Quick browse on LinkedIn and found <15 people in the London office.
They’ve been in LDN since 2022, why isn’t there an active presence in LDN and was the Darktrace deal run out of NY?
Compared to US, in UK/Europe, there are not as many software assets that fit their mandate (I imagine $1-5B EV but cmiiw)
They are mainly investing out of a $1.5bn Europe fund, most of the European deals except Darktrace have been middle market. Also dont need a massive team here as they have support from US teams. I was told that they will do further hires in the team in London
They only run a middle market strategy from London. Hires happened last year and mostly from mid market shops.
