If you have worked with them in the past or went through the PE associate recruiting with them, what were you experiences like? Are they good at what they do in the Consumer space? Did you vibe with the team?

Unable to comment on PE associate recruiting, but my kids go to the same school as one of the senior partners at the firm (ignore the title in my profile, I'm old...) I'm not super close with this person, but know him well enough. A bit serious... (I tend to be more laid back), but a good guy. Very much a family guy. Heavily involved in our kids school. I remember when we were catching up a few weeks ago, they said they were sitting on a ton of dry powder (less than 10% of their latest fund has been deployed)

3) they seem intense. I’ve worked with them and my friend interviewed there. Their associates would email me at all hours and my friend said the interview was intense and went horribly.
Also, they make big, concentrated bets into consumer brands. Their team for 8 IPs + 4 partners carved the ex-US part of the Dr. Scholl’s brand out of Reckitt Benckiser
Intensity does not matter me as long as people are nice, respectful and helping me grow.
From your perspective, their interviews were intense compared to what? Megafund and upper middle market? Thanks!
