Agency Lender --> Greystar/Multifamily REPE?

Is this move possible? You would assume so right? Constantly dealing with multifamily at an agency broker/lender, seeing and modeling thousands of deals, closing with investors, etc should create an easy transition. Or am I wrong?

Please let me know if anyone has made a similar move. Trying to see if it's possible for me in a couple years.
