Are Modeling Test given to one or multiple candidates ?
When firms distribute modeling tests during the interview process, do they typically do so to one candidate at a time or do they send it to multiple candidates ? Just wondering where I may be in the process and how competitive it is.
The purpose is to see who can do the modeling, so it’s likely a weed out or final test. Regardless you should try the same!
We send it to everyone who makes it through the phone screen, only indication is that we might be interested in bringing you in to interview.
Why is this post getting monkey shit? Some case studies can be huge time commitment and it’s important to discern how worthy it is of ones time. I guess I forgot I was on WSO, where all the hardo’s advocate for employees to be paid like shit because they don’t have any experience or don’t have any skin in the game. Didn’t realize we are taking sides with the employer as opposed to us common folk employees now.
Because it's common sense. Why would an employer waste their time sending a modeling test to one candidate at a time, in succession, instead of distributing to anyone they are potentially serious about hiring?
Bc why would I waste my time reviewing 20 cases when we can send it to the top 2/3 candidates
Depends on the context, a model test is likely early in the process given to a lot of candidates. A full case study (model and write-up) is typically last or second to last step and given to a smaller pool of candidates
We send the modelling test first before any serious interviewing.
