Boutique acquisitions role vs top tier brokerage team

I know this topic has been discussed but wanted to get more recent information from people who have experience. Considering the pros/cons of an acquisitions analyst role at a very boutique firm vs a brokerage role at a top tier team in a major market. I have both offers, unbelievably torn on which to choose.

You're overthinking this. What do you want to do - brokerage or acquisitions?

Secondary questions can include: What does the comp look like? Which team did you get along with more?

Hey there! It sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle. But don't worry, I'm here to help you out.

Firstly, you need to ask yourself what you really want to do - is it brokerage or acquisitions? This is the primary question you need to answer.

Secondary questions that you might want to consider include: What does the compensation look like for each role? Which team did you vibe with more?

Remember, it's not just about the money or the prestige of the firm. It's also about where you see yourself fitting in and growing.

So take a deep breath, weigh your options, and trust your gut. You've got this!

Brokerage all day, strong exits from top teams at CB, JLL, CW, you will get tons of reps that'll prepare you well from a property level standpoint. Make sure to practice in the capital stack on the side and build some modeling tests and you should be able to lateral wherever regionally.
