Canadian Pension fund (CPPIB, OMERS, OTPP) comp and culture
Hi there - I have my last round of interview coming up and it’s with HR and I am expecting there to be a comp discussion. Don’t want to disclose the exact place but it’s the high yield CRE lending group in one of the 3 places (CPPIB, OMERS, OTPP) in their NY office.
Wondering if you guys would have info on the culture/comp at the AD/D level?
Thank you!
I know less of the RE comp and more on the HF/AM side. From what I’ve seen (from friends who work there), comp is good (adjusted for work life balance) at the pretty senior levels (MD) and ok/under market below that (still ok, but large gap between the senior levels and mid levels). Not sure how much that is still the case (and whether RE is similar).
Thanks you and what is considered good in your opinion?
In AM/HF space $1-$1.5mm a year for MD’s. But levels below more like $400-500k (and will be different across the different pension funds).
