Debt & Equity groups with the best exit ops to Institutional Acquisitions?

Currently about to end my first year as an Analyst with an Investment Sales team in NYC. My group is pretty well regarded and will finished the year anywhere from 4-7 in the city in $ volume wise and will sell around $2 billion in 2019. While I like my job, the people I work with, and the pay, I worry that the lack of complex modeling will hurt my ability to jump to some top Institutional REITS and REPE firms. Because of this i'm considering the move to a Debt & Equity group and wanted to hear some opinions on here on whether that move would be worthwhile and what groups would be the best fit for what i'm looking to do.
