Eastdil Mobility

Hey - I’m just wondering if Eastdil has an internal mobility program where you can transfer offices if required. Going to one of their larger officer but if I wanted to be closer to family down the line I want to see if they are happy to let people move around a bit.

I mean you have to do your job well for 1 year -1.5 year before bringing it up. Then you bring it up, in the absolute best case scenario, you get transferred in 2-3 months. For that to happen, there has to be an opening on the team you want to move to at that very time. On the other hand, you bring it up, there’s not an immediate opp available and you play the “stay in front of the other team” game for the next 6 months - 1 year until you finally get moved over.

Certainly doable at Eastdil. When doing so, you are typically joining a team that works out of that office and covers the surrounding markets - obviously would need mutual interest and ideally some sort of pre-existing connection. Like others have said, at the end of the day, if it doesn't benefit the business, it will be a no.
