Electrical Gear Delays
Developing Multifamily in the PNW and experiencing massive delays on electrical gears on 5/5 projects right now. Has anyone found any solutions on accelerating the delivery or find ways to "band aid" a switchgear until the actual one arrives?
This must be a problem across the board. On the east coast and we’ve been waiting on meter stack breakers to be installed for new HVAC for 9 months since expected delivery… had to rent a mobile chiller during the summer. Absolutely ate NOI during the summer.
This is systemic right now. I've seen it with panelboards and main gear for about 18 months now - Eaton gear is at a year from shop drawing approval - i just had one section deliver early, but it isn't complete. So i now have to pay for storage for it. Rooftop units for a project are 25 weeks at best, 48 for another manufacturer. Control boards are also had to get. Fun times.
Wtf is happening in this thread 😂
