Good books on CMBS/Real Estate Securitization

Does anyone have any good books or resources to read up on CMBS/Real Estate Securitization. This topic interests me a lot and I hope to lateral into this direction in the next 6-8 months. Would love to get some more background knowledge in the space before interviews and such.

Thanks!

I just finished up “Other People’s Money” by Charles Bagali. It was an interesting read about the Stuyvesant Town Peter Cooper Village Deal that MetLife sold to Tishman Speyer. It involves some info about CMBS and touches on it, but I’d imagine the info online about CMBS (as mentioned above) are better for truly learning about CMBS.

Chekdastack mentioend DBRS Viewpoint, which is like the “Zillow of CMBS” in my eyes. You can click on different CRE Assets that have CMBS Debt on them and read through some of the info.

Also look up “Trepp”. They have a ton of info on CMBS and their daily emails are free with lots of cool insights.
