Has a Recruiter w a Top tier brokerage Ever Reached out to you on linkedin?

A little back story with this, earlier this year I applied for an internship in DC at one of the top tier brokerages. I made it to the third round but ended up not getting the offer. I'm about to graduate from college and have an offer lined up with a boutique shop in office leasing in DC, gave them a soft committee but need to discuss with family.

Earlier this week a lady titled "[brokerage name] senior recruiter" sent me a LinkedIn inmail message request and wrote about they're hiring for Baltimore's Industrial Brokerage team for a full time position and my experience would be a great fit. We have an introductory call for next week.

I looked up her LinkedIn profile thinking it was spam but she's a legit person with the firm has a lot of connections and I see recently hired summer interns tagging her in their posts thanking her and a others for the help/support from the process, etc. I also remember with talking to a different recruiter at the firm and they referenced this person's name as one of the people I may bee speaking with (ended up not being her but another recruiter tied regionally with the firm).

I just don't understand why I wasn't emailed about this since the firm already has my info, I thought especially as someone almost out of UG that I would not be the one being reached out to, and I just assumed I'd write off being hired by this place for the time being.

Has this happened to anyone else before from these firms? It feels nice they're giving me another shot but it still feels a little sketch tbh
