HFF Financial Modeling Experience

Hi all, new to WSO but wanted to open this question up to anyone who knows/works at HFF. I'm interviewing for a Debt Analyst position and a team analyst for an office/industrial team. Debt Analysts, from my understanding, don't necessarily need to have as much financial modeling experience as an analyst working exclusively for a team. My financial modeling experience (DCF in Excel and building out the model) is minimal and Argus experience is none. (yeah, don't even ask me how I got the interview).

But in any event, seeking some insight into what level of financial modeling is needed to get the team analyst position, how I'd go about getting the training, etc. There's so much info out there that it's a bit overwhelming. If someone could point me in a direction that'd be so awesome. I'm also getting things together to undergo the Argus training and have read a bunch of threads about this.

Also, have my second interview for the Debt Analyst position this week. If anyone has undergone the second phase of interviewing for this position; what kind of questions should I expect?

Anything is appreciated - thank you!

A big shop like that will have multiple people that can train you. Wouldn't worry about that, not a bad idea to brush up but don't stress on it.

"Who am I? I'm the guy that does his job. You must be the other guy."

Would echo what others are saying in that most shops don't really care if you have Argus experience - it's so easy to pick up on the job that it doesn't even really matter
