In your mind, how much is underwriting experience worth in commercial real estate?
In this instance, a firm is looking to fill two spots that have a heavy focus on property level underwriting and financial/market analysis. The roles include one analyst with little experience (fresh out of school with some internships) vs one senior analyst role (3-4 years experience underwriting office/retail properties for institutional clients), how much higher would you expect the senior analyst to be compensated?
For additional context, the more junior of the two roles is slotted for $70-$80K plus bonus.
