I wanted to know the difference between an investment analyst compared to an acquisition analyst? Are job responsibilities very similar, pay the same, are they both seen on the LP and GP side of the business?

Career Resources
Generally pretty interchangeable. Only caveat I have seen is that acquisitions guys focus on existing assets, while investment analysts have a larger scope (ie. development underwriting, private lending, distressed debt).

Same as above interchangeable but folks who go by investment analyst that I’ve seen generally have broader scope to include operating companies, public equities or debt, note acquisitions, etc just as an example
