Leasing Commission as a Non-Broker/Leasing Agent
I have a unique opportunity to bring the government and commercial real estate together on a temporary lease. Under normal circumstances, these two groups would never cross paths. This is a solution to a temporary problem. While the public side is ready and interested, I am still in the process of finding property owners. I don't want to approach until I've ironed out specifics. I haven't dealt with something like this before, I am not a broker, leasing agent, etc. The goal is to generate a commission (duh). I am looking to partner with someone and would like some input. Should I call a broker and bring this opportunity to them or go another route?
government entities handle real estate acquisition and leasing much differently than private sector companies. This will be a much more complicated transaction than you think...most seasoned brokers aren’t even equipped to handle a public institutions transaction client
