MIT Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment Online Course worth it?

MIT has an online course called for commercial real estate analysis and investment. A six module course (modules listed below). It price is $2500 for the entire 6 week course. You get a certificate from MIT's real estate school and its taught by David Geltner (Faculty Director) and W. Tod Mcgrath (VP Finance, Boston Properties). Wondering what you guys think if its worth it for the course? Do these courses actually hold weight in interviews? Would it hold weight with yourself in an interview?

MODULE 1-FINANCIAL ECONOMIC CONCEPTS AND TOOLS FOR REAL ESTATE MODULE 2-THE REAL ESTATE SYSTEM AND THE SPACE MARKET MODULE 3- MICRO LEVEL: PROPERTY VALUATION AND INVESTMENT ANALYSIS MODULE 4- LEVERAGE, AND FINANCING THE INVESTMENT MODULE 5- MACRO LEVEL: STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL TOOLS FOR PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT MODULE 6- INVESTMENT ANALYSIS OF REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Bumping this because I'm interested to see what others have to say

Related - I've seen some negative feedback on WSO around the Cornell Certificate, which I would say is similar in that it's also online and approximately the same amount or maybe a bit more. A friend of mine that went through Cornell's said that there are different modules you can pick or "specialize" with and that there obviously a big emphasis on hospitality, but that it did open up a lot of doors. Especially at conferences and what not where there were individuals who also took the program as well as Cornell alum

I don't know anything about the format of the certificate program or details about the contents. I do know that both of those professors are excellent. If your goal is just to learn as much as you can about real estate finance, though, you could save some money if you just buy Geltner's textbook and read it.

There are quite a few MIT MSRED alums out there in the industry, and both of those professors are well known to most of the people who've been through the program. So the certificate might give you some additional credibility in their eyes if you frame it the right way. Just an opinion.
