Analyst 1 in RE - Comm

Great projects, don't know much about culture or pay,

Is 70K+bonus a competitive salary for an analyst position?

In a HCOL market? With or without previous applicable experience? What percent is the bonus?

Although they’re a developer more so than a fund focused on acquisitions, it’s still low. Would at least expect 85kish plus 25-30 percent bonus for 1st year analyst. If this was more traditional PE at a more well known firm would suggest around 100k base with anywhere from 30-70 percent bonus.

I’m not sure that they are a PE firm. I think it’s a family company that owns all of the RE privately. It would be in a tier 2 city, moderate COL, with some applicable experience. Bonus would be 10-20% base

Yup, for a privately owned developer such as Peebles or similar firms (excluding Hines / Greystar like firms), you would be hard pressed to cross the 85k threshold for first year analyst base. And 20% bonus is pretty standard for starting out at a developer.

How are the career trajectories for those that start out as a development analyst at one of these shops : Peebles, Hines, Greystar etc.
