Pivoting from RE to Renewables

I finished my first year at an elite investment sales shop in NYC in July (think CBRE, Eastdil, Cushman, JLL).

I am interested in breaking into a PE firm that does renewable energy investing (primarily solar and energy storage). I am working through some project finance course from Pivot 180.

Has anyone made the switch from real estate to renewables?
