RE Development - Recruiting in Another Country
I work in development and think it would be really fun to move to Europe or Australia. How difficult would it be to make this transition? How difficult in London or Sydney, and also in reaches (primarily due to language) in France, Germany, Switzerland, etc? Would working for a developer in a foreign country be remotely possible? My take is it’s possible but only at a place like Hines (and can’t even think of another) and only if you speak the local language.
Anyway, I’d appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks all.
commenting to follow, have the same goals (but with Australia specifically)
There's definitely an opportunity to move to Australia to work in real estate but the most difficult part of the transisition is getting the visa to move over here.
Otherwise besides that, I've met plenty of associates/directors who have moved over here but they've mostly been sponsored by their company to move over to the Sydney/Melbourne office
Any insights on Spain?
I know Greystar is building up a student housing portfolio in Spain. But that’s about all I know.
i wish things are easy the hardest part is sponsorship aka work permit / visa ! good luck with that !
