Real Estate Consulting
Does anyone have a CRE consulting business, or clients you work with on the side? So far I've found AlphaSights, Bullpen, and Third Bridge as consulting networks.
Are there any other recommendations?
Upwork has some real estate postings.
I've found that UpWork is a bit unprofessional, kind of low-level sponsors and people looking for one-time projects unfortunately
Good to know. I haven't used it personally. A coworker told me he used it during grad school for work, so maybe it was the perfect thing for him at the time.
I used to do it - I charged $200 / hour and it mostly consisted of argus & excel work with some actual thoughts & ideas type stuff. There was a lot of demand a few years ago. I will say though, I'll never work for $200 / hour again. I think I'd need $500+ and would only accept certain assignments. The work that can't be done in-house is usually super tedious, meticulous, and not fun. It's the work that nobody really knows how to do and a lot of it is ad hoc.
