Real Estate Portfolio Management Questions

for all these questions I am particularly interested in multifamily:

1) Could any RE PMs opine on their day to day work and what are the most important aspects of being a good PM?

2) Any textbooks or other reading material suggestions for learning more about RE PM?

3) Any suggestions of daily/weekly/monthly/etc news sources or other resources for staying on top of trends relevant to RE PM?
