What’s expected salary range for sr analyst/associate 1 in NYC. 3 years experience. Opportunistic shop. Few billion under management in real estate. Tens of billions across whole firm in non-real estate business lines. I was hoping for $160k+ salary and typical 70%ish bonus. Is that expectation reasonable? Appreciate insight.

I feel like total comp $200k - $250k range would be realistic, but $272k for Sr Analyst at a non-MF is a bit rich. I work in IS but have close friends at good shops and we are open about pay.
Didn’t want to be the one to say it in case comp at other firms has moved way up… but I second this. First year associate is $250k at my firm
How much of that is base salary?
If all of you first year associates are making 250k, why the fuck do you all still have roommates?
Lol haven’t had a roommate in 3 years.
Also if my base is $x, I try to only spend $x and save the rest. For me, not having roommates is still possible under that budget but for a lot of NYC guys it’s not. So they live with roommates and save their six figure bonus
