technical/analytical folks who entered into production

Hi everyone,

I'm approaching my 6th year in banking and lending, working primarily with a senior partner. In this time, I've been the main contact for about $1.5 billion in loan originations, handling borrower clients, lending partners, legal, title, and escrow, etc. My senior is semi-retired - he is aware of when deals come in and close, and occasionally will join a call when a threshold issue pops up, but I steer the ship for the most part.

The client relationships were initially formed by my senior partner, and I've mainly acted as his extension. My company naturally emphasizes growing the client base, and I'm now approaching a tenure where this is becoming more of a focus by office management.

I consider myself personable and experienced, but making new connections isn't my strong suit — I’m more of an introvert with some extroverted tendencies.

If anyone has been through a similar transition and can share advice, or their own experience, I'd love to hear from you
