Thinking creatively

I want to further my aptitude for sculpting the "vision" and producing creative investment ideas. Any recommendations to help get creative juices flowing when evaluating new opportunities? Any abstract recommendations (ie. shift in mindset) or concrete recommendations (ie. books to read, start by understanding zoning/rezoning & what could be possible, a structured checklist) are welcome.

Thanks!

I personally like to employ a "decision tree" approach in my head to web out as many possible outcomes as possible. Once I web out enough possible scenarios, a couple of the outcomes would naturally be deemed "creative" since most people opt to go for the same standard analysis and strategy preventing them from exploring the paths less traveled.

I suggest RE Twitter. You have to wade thru some BS but there are some guys on there really doing some creative things with some interesting but simple ideas.
