Hello All,
Currently interviewing for an Investment analyst role at W. P. Carey. I was wondering if y'all could provide some insight if it's a good place for a new undergrad to start. My main concern is getting pigeonholed by starting as a Net REIT analyst instead of another area of CRE or IB. Also how much is the typical pay for an Investment REIT analyst in NYC? Any insights that you can offer into the role would be greatly appreciated as I am still learning. Thanks !

May pigeon hole yourself depending on what you see yourself doing in five-seven years. The work will be very credit-oriented and I imagine structured finance centric. Although I've heard that the RE component is becoming a more important piece of the deal after the gfc.
