What does a business analyst do at the various CRE firms?

Hey Everyone,

As the title states, what are the responsibilities of a business analyst at the various CRE firms?

I’m currently a “business analyst” (title changes) at a F500 energy company, but I’m completely uninterested in the work. I find it boring and I guess you could say I’m disengaged, but not sure whether that’s from burnout or other reasons.

I’m trying to stick at least 6 months so I could have some relatable experience on my resume.

I’d rather stay more functional than technical. I know C#, SQL, Tableau, and whatnot, but hated programming/coding.

Eventually, I’d like to transition into acquisitions. Do you think 6 months to a year of exp., would be enough to break into one these firms?

Also, do you know what the salary range is for these BA’s?
