what is the right way to find a part time job?
It seems there is not a lot of part-time jobs in the real estate industry (except for broker) available on the website.

I interned for a REIT during school for $12 an hour, significantly underpaid, but did modeling/gained valuable experience every hour I was there. Probably 15 hours a week

I think it was the school career site. You should see what REITs are in your area, what firms are in your area and try to figure out which one would be fun to intern for, take people to lunch/etc. I took everyone at the REIT (in the acquisitions group) to lunch before interviews so they knew me when interviews came around. You will see this a lot but real estate people really like "the hustle".
At some firms I know they have an army of unpaid interns pumping out models for them... it is fairly common, getting paid to do it is a +
