What to do if you’re short in Real Estate
5 feet 7in or metric wise 170cm.
If you are junior or 3-5 years of experience , here are the cons
Cons:
- need to talk louder
- get less attention
- rarely described as “walking into the room and commanding everyone’s attention”
- (assuming lighter weight) can’t drink as much
In short life is harder for you in the corporate world.
Are we doomed . . . ?
Not a troll (not 100% a troll) but very interested to know about short people (especially senior level folk as there are a few) who face this problem and how they dealt with it

I probably have your same build. Don’t worry about this. Commanding a room is much less about your build than your reputation and what you have to say. Yes, you can’t change your height, but you are in control of many other aspects of yourself like your personality, clothing, fitness, etc.
Just be good at your job and confident and you’ll be fine. Lifting weights and having good posture helps.
This is one of those situations where you think something is a much bigger deal in your head than it really is. Literally no one gives a shit that you are short and it has 0 impact on their professional opinion of you.
Fortunately we now live in Zoom world, so no one needs to know that you're short. Soon we'll all be doing conference calls in the metaverse, and you'll be able to pick a tall avatar.
