I thinking of sending this cover letter to multiple boutique PE firms to try and get an internship this summer. Let me know what you guys think.

Dude, tone it down. A lot. You seem to have decent experience, but this is most definitely not the way to go about displaying it.
And no, you cannot help the fund raise funds - you clearly do not have a clue about fundraising. And why would you? You have no experience. And no, you cannot hit the ground running because you read a few posts on WSO. What you need to show is a willingness to learn and that you are a pleasant person to have hanging around for a summer. Your cover letter conveys basically the exact opposite, that you're an arrogant know-it-all who's gonna annoy the shit out of everyone all summer due to your crappy attitude.

why dont you call up the places you want to target and speak to somebody there and pitch your creds - much better than this letter thats for sure
Not only does it lack humility but the writing is mediocre. I agree that it appears you have some interesting experience and could add value, but this isn't how I would go about displaying it.

Being a dick is not a good way to get noticed and hired. Ever.
Too aggressive and not well written enough to be that aggressive in any case. You can write a strong cover letter without sounding cocky. Your general story is good, but you just need to tone it down and be more humble.
