FT IBD Resume Critique

Senior applying for full time positions at boutique IBs.

Please tear my resume apart..

The company I blocked out is Big 4. I know you guys will find that cringeworthy, but I figure it will be better than showing no internship experience.

Thanks!

-Round your GPA up. 3.9/4.0 is mathematically honest.

-What size font is that? IT'S MASSIVE. Decrease by a point or two, expand your existing experiences, and bump one of your "Activities" up from the bottom and expand as an experience.

-Also consider adding a line or two for relevant courses. That's an unadvisable course of action for people with more experience, but right now I can't get over how big your font is, it makes you look like you haven't done anything.

Thanks for the tip. It's font size 11, but the type is Verdana, which is a bit large I suppose. Is Arial 11 acceptable (see V2)? I tried 10 and it's too difficult to read IMO, but that might just be the web designer in me.

Any suggestions for the content? Is it acceptable to put work/leadership in random order as I did. I put the most important experiences first (what I could talk about most). Investment Management Group is possibly the most relevant, but I had minimal involvement to be honest.

The term "freelance" is really subjective and raises some red flags on those grounds - spin it to "independent Web(page) Development" for business-ified effect.

Hmm.. I was hoping that would express my entrepreneurial spirit haha. Do you think it would be better to describe one specific project, so I can take out the freelance.

Freelance puts you in the ranks of high school script kiddies - and self-employment will almost always be assumed to be exaggerated so you may end up in their ranks in the eyes of banks. Independent also is entrepreneurial - it can't mean anything else.
