Advice for Incoming College Student?

I'm going to be a Freshman next year at a non-target (Northeastern) and was wondering if there is anything I could be doing to set myself up for success. Right now, my resume isn't geared toward a career in Finance. I want to start working on becoming a better internship candidate when the time comes to apply. Is there anything you've seen someone do before their freshman year started that stuck out that you would recommend pursuing? I'm not dead set on working in Consulting or IB, but I am sure I want to work in some realm of the finance industry. Thanks in Advance!
