Advice on Georgetown and Club Culture

Hey all, I'm a rising freshman at Georgetown and would like to learn more about club recruitment. Was wondering if any GTown students/alum would be able to PM me so I can ask a couple questions about the school. Thanks!

My advice copied from another post as a current student:

1) Think hard and record every single interesting/time-intensive/commendable thing you've done. Emphasis on the interesting/unique shit. Use the WSO resume template and start piecing your resume together now - if you wait it'll look shitty and instantly ding worthy.

2) Think of the qualities that clubs generally want to see (enthusiasm for the subject, past leadership/initiative, interesting people, etc.) and start thinking hard about how you can connect some of those dots through common behavioral questions. Have about 3-5 interesting and versatile stories at your disposal to crush the inevitable "tell me about X" or "name an obstacle you've faced" questions. Being prepared for these alone will probably get you into final rounds.

3) Try your absolute hardest to exude a generally confident, chill, yet engaged vibe during the whole process. As you may know by now, clubs at GU literally become your social life and define your campus experience in every way. Having gone through this process, it's undeniable that these clubs care that you're not a bore and will not just take up space at their next event.

Bonus: I wish I'd hit more current members up and asked for quick chats - it's an opportunity to better understand the club and "network" your way to a competitive standing when no one knows WTF any of that is. You're way ahead if you can pull that off.
