Application / Admission Question
If you were to apply for an early deadline and get wait listed are you allowed to re-submit a new gmat score if you retake it and get a better score?
Obviously you are "allowed" to take the GMAT again but do B-Schools / MSFs take this into account or do they pretty much base their decision off of everything you initially submitted?
ask the admissions offices. they are generally very friendly about taking phone calls and answering questions
It depends... the school I got waitlisted at loved, even asked for extras, others had a policy against it.... If you call the school and talk to the admissions officers it may even look good on your for showing commitment to their program and application.
Can you say what school(s)?
i think an improved gmat is fine for all schools no matter where
Thanks for the input. This comes into play for me because first deadline is Nov. and I would only have about a month to study for the GMAT. So I need to decide soon if I want to gun for the first deadline or have an extra month and apply before the second deadline. Its a tough call...
