Are Foreign Exchange Semesters worth it? (UK)

I'm starting my MBA in Canada (Target) next year, and there is the option for an exchange term at Warwick. I want to know, is it worth it if I want to network and try and land a job in London? Are exchange students ever able to secure a FT offer in London (Considering COVID Fallout in 2021 / UK having eased their work visa policy)?

I have done both 1x international high school experience year and 1x semester abroad (was 10 months though).

You will personally learn a lot about another culture, language, people and - most importantly - about yourself.

Do it!

Totally Agree.

Regardless of employment opportunities, I will most probably go. The way I see it, after my full fledged career starts, I don't think I will ever have months on end to stay abroad.

But coming back to the discussion, in your college semester, did anyone try to or successfully secure employment in that country?

There were several Indian foreigners studying in the UK who secured IT jobs afterwards. You will see many Indian people in the UK who study there, they have a cultural link being a former colony of the monarchy/commonwealth.

In that case, I would argue that the UK is better for you than Canada. London always had many jobs and will have them again.

If you are Indian you would not stand out in Britain at all. Asians are a common sight.
