I did it. Going to Wharton in August. Don't underestimate the GMAT no matter how much experience you have in S&T. Stanford is a bit of a stretch as you don't really have the profile, but what the fuck do I know.

I have seen it too. Are you talking institutional/consultative sales? That's got a lot of leadership. Trading is less so.
I did it the other way around: HBS to institutional sales, BTW. But it was the 80's
