Bocconi university

How is it viewed to attend bocconi university as UK citizen who did A levels? I kind of got low A level grades so the employer would obviously know that I messed up heavily becasue i want to that university instead of an other target in the UK. Is it possible to not include A levels when applying later on?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Bocconi University is highly regarded, especially for its MSc Finance program and its strong network in Europe. However, as a UK citizen with low A-level grades, there are a few considerations:

  1. Perception of Bocconi: Bocconi is seen as a prestigious institution, particularly in Italy and across Europe. While it may not carry the same weight as top UK targets like LSE, Oxford, or Cambridge for London-based careers, it is still a strong name, especially for finance roles.

  2. A-level Grades: Employers in the UK, especially in competitive fields like investment banking, often scrutinize A-level grades as part of their screening process. If your A-levels are weak, it could raise questions, even if you attended Bocconi. However, some firms may place more emphasis on your university performance, internships, and extracurriculars.

  3. Excluding A-levels: It is generally not advisable to omit A-levels from your CV, as this could raise red flags during the recruitment process. Instead, focus on highlighting your achievements at Bocconi, strong GMAT scores (if applicable), internships, and any other relevant experiences to offset weaker A-levels.

  4. Alternative Strategies: If you're concerned about your A-levels, consider:

    • Excelling academically at Bocconi to demonstrate your capabilities.
    • Gaining relevant work experience through internships to strengthen your profile.
    • Networking extensively to build connections that can help bypass traditional screening processes.

Ultimately, while low A-level grades might be a hurdle, a strong performance at Bocconi and a well-rounded profile can still make you a competitive candidate.

You got into bocconi with low a levels? Bocconi is seen better than most UK semi targets. If you can go there to wash off your credentials then do so.
