Boutique IB -> LMM PE -> to H/S/W?
Wondering if it possible to get into HSW with my background.
Demo: ORM,
Stats: GPA - 3.6/3.7 at top 5 UG Bschool. GMAT: 760
WE: 4 years at Boutique IB (~50 so people) - promo to associate. 2 years at LMM PE - about to be promoted to associate
EC: not too much, part of professional fraternity in college, did some community service. But nothing really after UG due to work load.
Here are my 2c (for context, I got into one of the HSW deferred programs and am an Asian male)
Think you've have a good shot at Wharton, given the strong GMAT and PE. H/S are going to be very hard in my opinion, given that they're very saturated with people from top BB to UMM / MF, high GMAT & GPA.
Did you get into H/S or W?
Admittedly - I only got into W, the worst of the three sadly
Definitely didn't mean it as a slant lol, congrats on W that's a huge name on the resume. Was just curious because I went to H/S undergrad and had friends with MF PE analyst offers still get rejected at both H/S.
Are you working in IB as well? Look at the HBS 2+2 admitted candidates in banking...it'll make you really disappointed. Guessing your friends with MF PE analysts were not diversity candidates haha.
