BU Master of Science in Banking & Financial Services Management

Hey everyone

I was hoping to get some info. on the MS in Banking & Financial Services Management program at Boston University. I tried searching the forum and found nothing.

It is an online MS program. I'm a little late to the finance game: 25 years old, non-target school liberal arts degree, no business experience. So my chances of a top-tier MSF program seem bleak.

I think I'd be happy managing portfolios at a bank and not shooting for an IB job on Wall Street.

So my question.. is the BU MS in Banking & Financial Services a good program? Or would I be better off foregoing the diploma route and working on getting my CFA And maybe an MBA someday in the future?

how long has the M.S. in Banking/ Fin Services Management program been around? is there an online record as to how the program places people? you should look for that

anyway, it really depends on how you feel the stigma against online program i think that realistically you need to measure this before you consider such a program

Thanks matayo, The woman said the program started in '07-'08 so it's been around 7ish years. I haven't found or been shown any kind of placement records. I'll ask in my next Q&A.

One of the key points that one of the professors pointed out in a webinar summary was that your diploma doesn't reflect that the program is online. While the stigma of online education still exists, IMO it is lessening day by day.
