business school advice to work at Wall Street some day

So I recently got interviewed at Fordham University for full Time MBA, and the dean couldn't offer me admission. Instead he proposed to do MS in Management since my undergraduate was biology degree. On the other side I already go into MBA for Hofstra University. Now the dilemma is that should I do Fordham MS and then work fora year or two and apply for Fordham or other higher end schools or just do Hofstra MBA and start my career?

You are in hofstra for MBA? And you trying to transfer to Fordham? I didnt even know it was possible to transfer when you are doing your MBA.

Fordham is a non target, the only benefit of going to fordham is the fact that its in NYC and probably have connections with local. I dont see any difference between both schools when applying to IB, since they are non target you will have to focus on networking.

Between a Fordham MS and a Hofstra MBA, I suggest Fordham MS, then work for a few years and apply to a top 15 MBA program.

You’d an use the Fordham degree to jump start your career in finance. I suggest you acing all your classes, networking hard to get a job post-MS, then in a few years if you want to do a top 15 MBA.

Going to Hofstra for an MBA closes a lot of doors compared to the Fordham degree. Sure you come out of the Hofstra program w/ an MBA but then what? Hiring I imagine is limited and the Fordham degree will open more options for your career, esp allowing you to do a higher ranked MBA in the future.
