Canadian in MSF recruitment... PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I am going to apply for Vandy and MIT mfin next year (assuming I make it toVandy but not MIT), how handicapped will I be for recruitment> Will I not be able to apply to banks because of the Visa issue, or will most banks be willing to sponsor? Thanks

Vandy claims that ~100% of their MSF graduates secure jobs within 3-6 months but I would check with current students for an actual placement scenario & confirm with the schools on the % of intl. students that receive Visa sponsorship. Also, keep in mind that you will have 1 yr OPT on Vandy (not sure for MIT) meaning only one try on the H1B lottery.

Have to correct you there. For any school you can get 2 chances on the H1B provided you have a US bachelor's equivalent (which is pretty much required to get into a US grad school anyway) and have your job offer prior to the H1B application deadline. You will just be applying with your undergrad, then if you don't get it you can apply the following year with the masters degree (since you need to have completed all degree requirements prior to application).
