Carry while in b-school

Have any of you—or someone you know—gone to business school while your/their carry grant was being vested? In that case, would the carry continue to vest while you attend school, or would you forfeit the unvested carry? I’m sure it’s different for each firm but wondering what’s the industry norm in this situation—in an upper MM buyout shop in particular.

Also on a related note, do you know what the norm is these days in terms of financial support / sponsorship from the firm to go to business school? i.e., Just tuition support vs. tuition + room and board vs. all of this + additional income?

Thank you very much in advance for your help. Just trying to think through what I can reasonably ask for from my firm as I leave for business school at the end of the year.
