Chance at LSE MSc A&F/Finance
I'm currently studying at RSM, Bsc International Business Administration.
I got a 7.91 in my first year (2:1, 8.0 and up is 1st), my performance slipped this year, by the time I'll be applying my GPA will likely be 7.8. Achieving an 8.0 seems unlikely.
Assisted in the organization of a case competition at an Ivy League School
Research Assistant in the finance department, topic is historic capital issues
Treasurer of Finance Association
Will likely do an independant research project related to financial mathematics
No internship (can still be secured for fall, but hard given courses and postgrad applications)
LSE summerschool in financial markets
How does my application look? I'm somewhat insecure about my GPA, given that I don't have a 1st. Other options include MSc at RSM in Finance & Investments, if you have other suggestions I would be very interested to hear them.
Will be taking it In september, what should I aim for?
Obviously the higher the better. For that course, try to get at least 670/80 Have you already tried mock tests etc?

It indeed seems like a good strategy.
But Sir, that "first day" thing is tricky: - How to properly brainstorm and come up with curated Essays when the applicant doesn't actually know the Essay questions (which are visible from the day applications open)? (especially if a admission consultant was hired to help out and help edit the Essays) - Even recommenders may receive program-specific guidelines (on length, format, etc.). That, can also be engineered only when applications open.
I see your point; and it is a fair, valid one. But "applying first day" looks impossible to me in reality... :/
Btw, so you're also saying the 'rolling basis' thing applies even within any given Round? Aren't applications reviewed once the application deadline for a specific round of application has passed? (Just looking for clarifications :))
