Chances for getting into Top Tier MSF?

Hi, I am a junior at Top 30 university(non-target) in the States. Totally failed on IBD SA recruiting process this winter and thinking about MSF now. Would like to get some inputs about my chances for getting into Top MSF programs.

Profile
- GPA: 3.1
- GMAT: 750
- 1 BB IBD Internship (Korea)
- 1 Top PE (Local PE) Internship (Korea)
- 2 years at Korean Army Special Forces
- Entrepreneurship experience at Latin America
- Strong extracurricular studies (Treasurer in fraternity, selected as finalists in 2 case competitions - 1 PE, 1 Consulting, Co-Captain at Club Soccer, Vice President at Finance Club)

I know my GPA could be a huge hindrance for Top MSF program, but I am wondering whether my high gmat score and work experience could make me a favorable candidate. Thanks!

I got into Vanderbilt MSF with these stats as a Canadian undergrad:

  • 3.2 GPA
  • 760 GMAT
  • non-finance internship
  • non-finance part-time job
  • decent extracurricular

You have better experience and pretty much exact academic credentials as me. Added bonus if you're a US citizen. You should be competitive at most programs (minus MIT)

You'd get into most programs with MIT being the only wild card. I'd focus on networking right now as you should still be able to get a job with those stats without the degree.
