why would someone still have an email with uchicago if they graduated already no one from any other business school does

.

Usually schools set emails to auto-forward to a personal account after you graduate. So you may not be able to send emails from your school email address but people definitely forward their emails.

Highly doubt this. There's no way schools bother keeping emails in their database for more than a year.

http://www.chicagobooth.edu/alumni/resources/email4life Email4Life is a free email forwarding service available to all Chicago Booth alumni. Once you graduate, you can keep receiving messages to your Chicago Booth email address through the email service of your choice (Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc.)-

https://www.alumni.hbs.edu/help/Pages/designate-lefa.aspx As an e-mail forwarding address, LEFAs make it easier for alumni around the world to connect to each other via e-mail. Please understand that your LEFA is a forwarding address for e-mail, not an actual e-mail address. An e-mail sent to your LEFA is forwarded by the LEFA servers to a personal e-mail address that you designate.
