Hey, do students get choice for location of work on, on campus recruitment. Suppose GS or MS are hiring, will i be able to choose where i want to work ( mainly i wanna work in new york) or will they send me to someplace their choice.

Normally there is some level of choice if you want to work outside of NYC, I had the choice between a program in just NYC or an international variant that also involved placements in Europe. Otherwise most roles will most likely be in NYC.

I would argue that most finance roles will be in NYC, regardless of your visa status. As an international student you also have to meet the requirements of the OPT or visa that apply to you. USCIS and your intl. student office will give you all the details.
