Is this a thing? I live in Melbourne, Australia and was told by my doctor that her son is working in IB in the US, and got his US MBA student loans paid off when he was hired (don't have any specific company names sorry). So if in the future I take a ~$160,000 student loan to complete an MBA in the US, will certain companies pay off that loan completely on hire (I'm assuming only really competitive roles would offer this perk)? I tried to Google search this, and could only find articles on companies offering up to $10,000/year student loan assistance.

I'm at a top MBA program in the US and here is what I know. Some consulting firms (not sure which firms) will pay for your 2nd year if you intern with them and decide to go back full time. I don't think this is uncommon. I haven't heard of any firms (banks or otherwise) that will pay off all of your loans unless you are sponsored by them (i.e. you worked there before your MBA and have an agreement to come back for X years after, and in return, they will pay for your school). I'm guessing your doctor meant that her son used his signing bonus, etc.
