what does he want to do afterwards? If he is trying to career switch, then sure -- go. If he needs an MBA for a promotion, then sure -- go. But if he wants to stay in trading, there's no reason for him to go now. If he's already been accepted, if anything he'll be an even stronger candidate in the future.

B-school doors are always open. Employers' on the other hand are not.
