Did I Miss My Chance to Get Into a Top MBA Program?

I finished my master's degree in international affairs at a top target school earlier this year, and I have had my eye on obtaining an MBA as part of a career change since I find finance interesting.

That said, was this the year to apply to top MBA programs? As I'm reading that applications to the T25 are down big compared to previous years and the great recession.

That said if you have a compelling story, decent stats, etc. should one worry? Likewise, I figure going to B-School at this moment carries the risk of coming out in the middle of an economic downturn.

That said by foregoing this cycle did I miss a decisive moment?
